Anyone who has tried to export DEM Earth in the past, will have come across this problem, which was tricky to solve. 


  1. Maxon has some inbuilt tools, but which don't work well without UV's.  
  2. We need an elegant solution to this problem. 
  3. The solution is the GeoReference Tag. 


GeoReference Tag has the ability to re-project flat mapping on to UVW coordinates, in realtime. 


 The following video shows how it is possible to use the GeoReference Tag, to re-project UVW coordinates, to match flat mapping. All this needs is that for you to insert a GeoReference tag into the hierarchy, and link that tag, to a specific texture. You won't be able to tell any difference, which is pretty much the perfect solution. Now your UVW coordinates are re-projecting, in realtime. 


Using this method, when you export ( or make editable), your textures will be where you expect them to be, and that problem is easily solved.
