For DEM Earth 6.295 or greater. A Spline Generator. Drop The Contour Object under any Geometry, or link to it via the object link field.

Crazy fast, and super easy to use.
To set color, you just set the object color to automatic.
It is crazy fast with DEM Earth, but can also be used to slice any geometry into splines.
TIP : use it with the Trim Deformer, to stipple and trim in one shot.
To render, just add a RS object tag, or an Octane tag.
